Hi Penelope, My great, great grandparents are Henry Crockett McDaniel and Amanda Jane Richardson of Sangamon, Illinois.
Their son, my great gradnfather, Henry Sherman McDaniel, was from Kansas...married there, died there and is buried there. I have quite a few McDaniel relatives.
Does this mean we are related?

You are much closer related to my husband, but my Ellis line intersects with your McDannold/McDaniel line back in VA (Phoebe Ellis--dau of Capt. Wm. Thos. Ellis and Agnes Brooks Carr--married Reuben McDannold and their son was John Ellis McDannold, who married Elizabeth Crockett Iles, whose son was Henry Crockett McDaniel). You are more recently related to my husband and it is a DELIGHT to hear from you, as I have been looking for more information about your family lines. My husband's grandmother was Grace Clair McDaniel, dau. of John Lewis McDaniel (brother of Henry Sherman McD) and Theressa Ray. Please email me directly at penelopeathey@yahoo.com. I would love to share and compare!

Does anyone have any information about William McDaniel of Barnwell District South Carolina circa 1782? We know that he was buried in Lilburn, Ga 9/29/1848. We are trying to go back in time from William. His parents may have been James and Mary McDaniel. Thanks.

Hi I was wondering if anyone knows of the McDaniel Clan of Georgia. My grandfather is Perry Adams McDaniel and his father was Joseph McDaniel. They lived in Barberville, Florida. My greatgrandfather had two or three wives but my grandmother was Lori Anderson of Folkston, GA. My grandpa had 7 brothers and a sister. Ira, Ralph, Leonard....and Nicole McDaniel. There was a family business in Ga called McDaniel Autoparts. I believe it was in Fitzgerald. Is there truth that the Georgia Clan were part of the Scots Free deal of indentured servants to pay off prison debt?
